Wanna Be

My apologies for being a wanna-be make up artist for this post. On my last post, I mentioned something about using new make up- and here they are:
I mixed Nyx HD studio foundation and Laura Mercier cream foundation. The result was fantastic- it was the perfect shade for my skin and I didn't get oily even if it was on the entire night (well, I used the Tony Moly powder time to time too!).
This Nyx HD studio foundation is the bomb-  its formulated from HD photogenic synthesis, so when light hits the skin, the diffusing effect of the foundation reflects the light to make skin appear smooth and reduce the appearance of pores- perfect for photo shoots and tapings!
I also ran out of concealer and figured trying out this one. Yes, I am not only addicted to Nyx lipsticks but I'm trying out all their other products as well (thank you Digital Traincase for selling Nyx items at an affordable price!). I brought with me in the car this tiny Laura Mercier make up remover for emergencies.
OOOHHH!!! Naked by Urban Decay is now my favorite palette of eye shadows. From nude to smoky, you have it all in one palette. I actually can't believe I've only been introduced to this brand just now- it makes me want to put make up everyday. I haven't stopped using it since I tried it. My favorite is when I experiment and mix eye shadows together, I feel like a little girl coloring.
My favorite so far is mixing buck, half baked and smog. It creates that shy but sexy look, I can't even explain it. They don't sell the Naked palette here, but good thing French Macaroons (an online website) sells it. Now you guys can also find happiness when putting on eye shadows.
Also tried these new compact mini brush set that I got from Dashe Cosmetics. I can't stand bringing my huge brush set everywhere- I feel like they're too big for travelling or when I'm in a rush and I've to get ready in the car- so these are just perfect, you have the foundation, contour, blush, eye brushes.
For my lips, I mixed Mac honey love and Nyx Sweet pink- just right to give me that nude-light pink combination.

It's actually nice to be talking about make up once in a while. Learning new techniques on how to apply make up and experimenting on what shades fix you best is a must! I'm actually thinking of attending some make up classes someday.. BMS.
