#PrayForThePhilippines

If you're a reader from the Philippines, I'm 100% sure you already know why I haven't blogged yesterday. It's been raining non stop the past few days and it has been a traumatic day yesterday for everyone here in Manila. Monday night, I wasn't able to go home because of the pouring rain and heavy flood so I decided to stay at my sister's place. When I woke up at 7am yesterday, every channel I go to were talking about the same thing- Manila was in the state of calamity again. It has been two years since Ondoy happened, and I can't believe we're experiencing it all over again. If you read the news, almost all the roads in Quezon City (especially Marikina area) looked like rivers already. Feeling helpless, I tried my best to inform people about whats happening through Twitter and Facebook (thanks to technology). As much as I wanted to help out yesterday, I couldn't because everyone was advised to stay at home, but I'm so proud and thankful for the rescue teams that's been up since 10pm the other night saving flood victims. Now that the weather is better, I will be going to the relief center in a bit to help out those people in need.

Hey Laureen,

It's devastating to see all the damage the rain/ flood has done. I'm trying to give back and donate more by making "Filipino" decals. All the proceeds will be donated. I need all the help I can get so I can spread the word. I hope you can help me out. The decals can be found here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/106368291/filipino-pilipino-vinyl-decals-for

And my blogpost here: http://rethinkborders.blogspot.com/2012/08/prayforthephilippines.html

THank you so much!
