The Nylite Project

So I heard there’s an exhibit in SM Annex North EDSA called “The Nylite Project." It’s on the 3rd floor and you won’t miss it for sure because the exteriors are really eye-catching. Tretorn gave away pairs of white Tretorn Nylites to some students from College of St. Benilde and gave them the freedom to be creative with it. From a blank canvas, they put their creative juices to work and ran a few ideas to settle on a design that was in line with the season’s hottest trends.
DIY time! They got to action by making these white shoes their own little masterpieces.
My top favorite: Aztec print. I love the combination of the colors and the design is absolutely wonderful. Congratulations Diane Mula!
My second favorite: paisley prints. I loved how he mixed the blue Tretorn design with his own. Red + blue + black make such a strong impression.
The exhibit's set up can stand alone and the decors fitted its stylish and sporty image. I was really surprised and impressed with these students who participated in this project- their creativity is something. I salute them on their hard work and also for sharing their artwork to everyone. Likewise- when I started to blog, I thought of something or a part of myself that I could share to the people out there- and I thought of my fashion and style. For me, your creativity on something shows your character in whatever you do.
Lovely watermelon design. I love watermelon colors!
Isn't this such a fun-looking exhibit!
You can also visit the store where they have other cool designs.
I do have a pair of Tretorn shoes. Just the plain ones, and now it makes me want to design them. Recognized for its distinct toe shape and lightweight rubber sole, the Nylite was soon regarded as the first luxury sport shoe. Today, Tretorn brings you the Nylite in the same style as the original, created 40 years ago. And all I remember that Tretorn sports the style of all white, but today they are back in a cool and fashionable style.
Don't forget to visit their exhibit at SM Annex North EDSA. They're only there until January 31, 2013. BMS.

Am happy that Tretorn has sort of reinvented themselves or should I say still there. It's the shoe brand of my university days. Back then we only had mostly solid colors to choose from. But it has gone pricey, too. LOL
