HK Disneyland 2: Can't Get Enough

Sorry for the late post, but finally, here it is!!
We ate at Enchanted Garden in HK Disneyland Hotel and I was very pleased with their buffet- especially the hash brown and pancakes. Fat kid mode: I ate so much I think I gained 10 pounds. Also, did you know if you check in in their Disneyland hotels, you have to privilege of meeting the Disney characters while having breakfast- no need to line up at the Disneyland Resort to have your pictures taken with them (the long is forever long by the way). I felt like a kid shouting "Mickey" over and over until he went up to our table.
With friends Jacklyn, Kryz and Robbie again. We're very much hyper from our breakfast and we're all set to try the rides. Interiors in Disneyland looks so chic and classy. Everything is perfectly made for us to feel welcome and happy. With an environment as nice as this, you'll never get sad/angry.
We loved Space Mountain! For me, it's one of the best rides in Disneyland. It was so fast and scary but fun at the same time. It;s a roller coaster ride in the dark and you see stars and galaxies, etc. They even take your photo to capture the "scared/fun" moment. Here's an Instagram photo from Kryz- don't judge us. Haha.
We tried the ride "Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters" where you have to shoot aliens and defeat Emperor Zrug (there's a target and you have a laser gun) and pretend your Buzz Lightyear- if you shoot the target, you can points. I had so much fun but I only got 106,000+ while my opponent Robbie got 300,00+ points. I wanted to do it again and again until I beat him, but I knew it was impossible. At least I got higher scores than Kryz and Jacklyn (competitive much?)
Going crazy at these balloons! I'd love to have a picture goofing around with these balloons but the girl who was selling it didn't trust us enough (hence the visible arm you can see on the left side of the picture)
The Golden Mickey show- truly breath taking. Each part just gave me chills- they were too good. It's a live show and they show you parts of Disney movies. The performers were outstanding! Each part made me remember all the movies I've watched when I was a little girl and seriously, I want to watch them all again. Nothing would beat a Disney movie marathon with popcorn and drinks.
For dinner, we ate at in Walt's Cafe in Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel. Just stare at the photos and I'm sure your mouth will water. I had the french onion soup and these. I had my own order of steak but I couldn't resist trying out my friends' orders too. Our orders were sooo good! The steak was so soft and juicy, the dessert was the bomb! Yummy for my tummy. I also love how in every restaurant in Disney Resorts, they always have Mickey shapes. So cute!
Disneyland is a magical place indeed. I love spending quality time with friends abroad. You detach yourself from work, your country and just bond, laugh and have the best time of your life. I'm glad I spent my vacation in Disneyland, not only did I have the best time but I really felt like I belonged there. Everyone was so friendly and pleasant- and it just made me feel like my little self again.

Hong Kong Disneyland- where you can find joy, laughter and fun all in one place. BMS.

Got My Hat On

(Zara hat, Secret Finds jacket, vintage turtleneck top, Topshop shorts/ stockings, H&M boots)

What to wear when you know you're going to let loose and try all the scary/fun rides in Disneyland? THIS. It was also harder to choose what to wear since it was freezing cold. So I decided to wear a turtle neck top with this very loose jacket with my favorite pair of shorts (stylish na, comfy pa). I actually wanted to just wear these sheer stockings, but the weather was very chilly that I was forced to wear leggings inside- who knew it would actually look nice? I found these pair of boots at the guy's kid's section and fell in love with it instantly. If I want to look trashy, I just wear these- it keeps my feet warm and comfy all day. BMS.

HK Disneyland: Feel The Magic

Finally- Hong Kong Disneyland! I've been wanting to take a break from work and just enjoy and relax like I used to when I was a kid, and I know the place for me is Disneyland. To make the experience more memorable, I went with Kryz, Jacklyn and Robbie. It's not just for kids and families, it can also be a "barkada" outing!
 The Flight of Fantasy Parade
A must see! It's where all your memories as a kid comes back to life. Everyone stopped talking right when the parade started. I saw all the Disney characters: Mickey, Minnie, Buzz Lightyear, Winnie the Pooh, Lilo, Stitch, Woody and the best for me- Disney princesses. They were so beautiful and doll-like, I was just shocked - happy - speechless. It was a light and splendid show filled with music, laughter and dancing. I actually joined the last part where they got several people from the streets to do the hula-hoop with them. It's definitely a must-see.
For lunch, we ate at Crystal Lotus in HK Disneyland Hotel. Look at the cute disney characters! Not only was the presentation awesome, but the food was delicious, especially the sweet and sour chicken. We had the set meal and everything from appetizer to dessert was scrumptious. For dinner, we ate at Corner Cafe inside Disneyland Resort but I wasn't able to take photos anymore because I was so hungry from all the rides/shows. I ordered seafood chowder and Surf&Turf which consisted of tenderloin beef and lobster- the best combination! Perfect spot to eat dinner cause right when you go outside- you can watch the fireworks right away.
Love Love Love their balloons! As a kid, I would always get distracted by balloons, and weirdly, I still do pala.
It's A Small World
Well, it really is a small world for everyone. It was also a guessing game for us- which country the dolls represent. I loved Thailand's costume! Each country really has a trademark, it's so surprising.
The Jungle River Cruise in Adventureland
I had so much fun seeing animals inside the "jungle". Very cool. You'll see elephants, zebras, giraffes and some other cool effects like fir and water combined, etc. It looks old school and you'll feel like it's a real jungle.
Toy Story Land (a new land inside Disneyland)
The favorite area so far. Everything was oversized: pencils, crayons, Woody, toy soldiers, etc. My favorite ride was this one. It's like a roller coaster (U-shaped) called RC Racer and it goes back and forth really fast and it goes higher and higher. Yes, I almost backed out but good thing I didn't- I had so much fun. We also rode Top Soldier Parachute Drop, where the parachute goes really high and drops us fast. Their new rides are really awesome/scary/fun. By the way, Toy Story Land is also Asia exclusive- cool, huh?
I just can't help but post this photo! I'm sure the kid was so tired after being so happy and jolly all day!
And the finale- the "Disney in the Stars" fireworks
I was in awe. It was the most amazing set of fireworks I've even seen in my entire life- I'm not even kidding. It was magical (together with the music) and it just reminded me of my childhood- I almost cried!

Hong Kong Disneyland. I love you. Kudos to our tour guide Danny and Janice for being so friendly and entertaining. I felt like such a baby when Danny gave me stickers and I asked for more (kid mode once again). And of course, this has a second part (yes, we went back the next day because we wanted to explore Disneyland more). BMS.

A Breath Of Fresh Air

(D&G sunnies, H&M jacket, SM Accessories scarf, Crow top, Zara jeans, Schu boots)

Touchdown Hong Kong- finally!!! I did research on the temperature before going there and it was around 12-14 degrees, so I was pretty equipped with what to wear. It's actually nice to escape our hot country once in a while.  How I've missed this type of weather- cold and breezy. Our flight to HK was at 7:50am, so we had to be at the airport by before 6am. I didn't bother wearing accessories because it's always such a hassle to remove during inspections. Right when we landed, I went straight to meet up with other fellow bloggers so I really didn't have time to prep up hence the sunnies and lipstick (my lazy to put make up on look). I was in comfy clothes too because I went straight to Disneyland after lunch.

Check out the video Jacklyn Uy made of our short trip to Disneyland. Watch out for my post about it tomorrow. BMS.

Discover Magic

This was a photo I took when I went to HK Disneyland last 2010 with my high school loves. It was my first time going to HK Disneyland then, and I swear- I remembered all my childhood memories. You get that feeling of excitement, thrill, adrenaline rush, amusement, and all other happy feelings all in one place. We all felt like kids running around Disneyland, having a difficult time choosing which ride to try first.
It was really an unforgettable trip and this February 17-19, I am going to experience it all over again. I'm going to HK Disneyland with my friends and I'll be staying at their hotel to further enjoy the experience. It's really the best place to go to if you want to forget everything and just be a kid again.
Hong Kong Disneyland Resort offers immersive, unique Disney experiences for all families, generations and ages to enjoy. Hong Kong is one of only five locations in the world that is home to a Disney themed park and the many Disney characters that are beloved the world over, such as Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Stitch and Buzz Lightyear. I also heard there's a new Toy Story Land, so I'm pretty much excited about that too. And the best news, I can be in flats and run around like a little girl. Can't wait to share my experience with you guys once I get there!
