Under the Weather

Hello Hong Kong!! I love going to HK during this season because the weather is just perfect. Layering clothes is a must so I got this jacket at Mango (luckily it was 50% off too) that was just right for the weather here. Black will never be out of style and it's also something that will make you look classy in any occasion, so my entire apparel was black and I added pops of color like my scarf and bag just so it won't look boring. The studs on my jacket and the dots on my socks are a wonderful combination too. These pieces can be found in SM Mall of Asia. I love how SM MOA has everything you need. 

I'll be posting more photos of my HK trip in the future, but for now- I just had to share these amazing photos that my friend Khai Van Kampen took of me. When I knew I was going here, it was a no brainer to get him as my photographer. He just takes photos as a hobby but you can clearly see that he has exceptional skill.

Uniqstyle

Are you uniquely stylish? If you are, post it online and you may be the next UNIQLO Fashionista. UNIQLO, a global apparel brand known for its MADE FOR ALL philosophy, launched the “UNIQSTYLE Search for UNIQLO’s No. 1 Fashionista”. It's an online photo submission and voting contest which allows everyone to share their distinct style via Facebook application or simply vote a UNIQSTYLE, to win exciting UNIQLO prizes. This campaign is an early experience for UNIQLO’s newest branch to be opened at SM City North EDSA- The Block which will open on November 16. 

To join, simply like UNIQLO's Facebook fanpage, access the application and click “allow” to enable it. Just fill in the required details and upload your entry- it’s that easy! For voters, just like UNIQLO's Facebook fanpage, provide personal details and get started by clicking “vote” (voters can vote as many times every after 8 hours).

For the street fashionistas, a UNIQSTYLE Search Truck will roam around Quezon City from October 13 to November 8, where one can try UNIQLO -pieces inside the truck and immediately upload his or her photos right inside the UNIQSTYLE Truck.  Mall goers have a say too! From October 20-November 4, people at SM North EDSA can drop by UNIQLO's hoarding wall where they can vote their favorite UNIQSTYLE using the available Ipads  stationed at the area. Cool, right?

Two-Toned

What else can I say about black + brown combination except that it looks so classy and chic? I really love how uneven this SM GTW mullet top is. It shows my skin a little in front then goes all the way down my legs at the back- such a dramatic effect! Of course, I didn't want to look too bold so I wore these silk high waist pants that made me feel like I'm wearing pajamas. Yes, it's that comfy! To finish my look, I wore these Toes and Straps pumps (they're basically the reason why my entire outfit looks so classy). There's something about these two-toned pumps that makes the shoes incredibly sexy- or maybe the heel is just perfectly made to make a person look attractive. I do believe you have to wear the right shoes in order for an entire look to work, so good thing I found these heels. 

 This day was special because I shopped with Abby Ruth Centillo, the winner of my Hyundai Sand Sea Sky contest that was held two months ago HERE. The prize was P5,000 worth of clothes at Uniqlo and a styling session/ photo shoot. I was lucky enough to meet the brand manager of Uniqlo Jasmin Cruz and COO Mr. Katsumi Kubota who dropped by the store for my shopping date with Abby.

There were so many good choices I really had a hard time choosing clothes for her. There were shirts for only P390, shorts for P590 and a lot more affordable items.  

This was our first layout. She was a bit shy to show her legs (which I really don't get because her legs are so nice and thin) so I chose these pants pair with a cute polo for a preppy look. 

I also gave her a few tips on how to pose. Creative director na rin ang peg ko! Hahaha. I was guiding her throughout the first layout because I wanted to make her feel comfortable since it was her first shoot.  

I really had a great time shopping with her. She was very shy at first but I managed to make her talk after 30 minutes of walking around the store together. I even gave her my necklaces so our shopping date would be more memorable. Abby's such a sweetheart and I'm glad I spent time with her. Thank you Hyundai Sand Sea Sky and Uniqlo for this shopping experience- pati ako tuloy napa-shopping! BMS.

 Now, this brand has really gotten me excited. Uniqlo is a global apparel brand that does not dictate trends but allows individuals to express themselves by what they wear. I think it's quite obvious with these super cute tees I just posted. As they prepare to open their first branch in MOA this June, they want us to express how we speak and feel through their unique concepts and designs of UT. UT is unlike any other T-shirt. It is a tool to “make a statement.” As embodied in the UT Philosophy -- “A T-shirt is more than just a T-shirt. It’s an expression of who you are. Where you’ve been. What you love.  That’s the UT philosophy.” UNIQLO collaborates with highly recognized names in order to create designs that captures people’s desire for self-expression and even if they collaborated with international icons like Barbie, Hello Kitty, Metal Gear, etc, they are still very affordable.

I'm A Barbie Girl

I'm a punk Barbie. I wanted to dress as a teenager, just to feel young again. I normally don't wear these kinds of tees, but this one form Uniqlo I found quite cute- plus I'm so excited to announce that they're opening this June in MOA. Yay! They have the most comfortable tops ever- and I'm so excited to shop until I drop once it's open. Since it's summer, I decided to cut the sleeves and crop this top (DIY ang peg) so it'll look good with my black heels from Pavla Manila. Socks + mary jane heels are so cute and preppy- they actually somewhat remind me of my school days. BMS.
