Hello Sunshine

(D&G sunnies, Robinsons top/ cardigan, Gera necklace, Balenciaga bag, SM Accessories ring, Kyra Nichole NY shorts, Alaia heels)

Shorts are a fashion must- not only for their practicality but also for their extreme versatility. Since the weather is really unpredictable now (hot, rainy, sticky, etc), I wore this cardigan just so I have a cover if it'll rain and just remove it if it's too hot. By simply swapping a t-shirt for a silk blouse, you can instantly transition your look from a laid back look to a dinner date with friends. Nowadays, the choice of length is all yours and with the hot summer rays upon us- this pair of shorts from Kyra Nichole NY is simply a necessity to surviving those scorching outdoor weekends. The colors give out this classy vibe and all my favorite colors are in these shorts. Bongga! My summer short essentials consist of basics, bright colors, and of course, bold prints. BMS.

Modern Gypsy

(Personalized Accessories necklace, Dress Code Project top, Super Finds bracelets, ALT Manila clutch, Bubbles skirt, Alaia heels)

The idea of this ensemble is simple- I make the most out of the combination, colors and patterns while holding onto my own style. I attended the Close Up Summer Solstice event a few weeks ago and wore this. Being one of the brand ambassadors, I decided to wear this blue cropped top with my printed mullet skirt. I am really in love with this top- nothing I've ever owned before. The fabric feels so nice and the off shoulder effect really makes the look flirty and fun. The entire get up made me feel like a modern gypsy! Now, this handbag I got it from ALT Manila is a must-have. I can bring the important things I have to everyday and I'd still look sleek. The zipper one-line detail made the clutch look extra edgy and admirable, don't you think? What's nice about clutches like this is that it works both ways: you can use it as your actual bag, or your gadgets bag when you have meetings. Put your ipad, ipad mini, phones, etc and you're good to go. Look professional and fashionable at the same time! I also love the color cobalt blue- it's striking and unusual, but not over the top. If you want to make a statement, choose pieces that are just as bold and alive and clash them together.

Balancing

(Alexander Mcqueen top, Girl Candies necklaces/ bracelets/ rings, Alexander Wang bag, Topshop shorts, Alaia booties)

This was what I wore when I went to the Philippine Star shoot. I wanted to be a bit more relaxed so I wore just a loose top and glammed up the entire look by wearing these amazing accessories from Girl Candies. Never really missing from the fashion scene, these arm candies really strike me with versatility and a clear sense of evolution. I used to love wearing just thick bangles but when I tried piling on these thin ones, I couldn't stop myself from doing it again and again.  It exudes an effortless style. These accessories gave me a youthful sophistication with attitude. Balancing a neutral top that expresses simplicity with an overall clean concept might be another smart way to highlight the powerful accessories I wore.
By the way, I honestly think this sweater will be one of my overused piece of clothing. Ever. BMS.

Printed Pop

(Goody hair tie, Super sunnies, Girls are Weird necklace, H&M top, Alexander Wang bag, Jewels and Charms leggings/ rings, Alaia heels)

Even though the weather is gloomy, even though it rains all the time, even though umbrellas are the most common accessories at the moment- there’s no need for you to feel drab and grey! Printed items are bright, bold and can truly bring the summer vibe back. A pop of color will brighten up everyone’s day- so I wore these really pop-ish leggings from Jewels and Charms. I felt like rocking the print trend but want it a bit more casual, so I wore my favorite (and overused) loose top. The tight fit of the leggings made sure my figure looked great and the bold print will allowed me to stand out. The beauty of this pair of leggings is because of the amazing variety of colors and print. BMS.
So I was able to meet my UCB x BMS winner Jianne Samin and I got to shop and bond with her too! She also brought her sister and a few family members with her. They were all so nice!
I started by asking her what her style is and what she normally wears on a daily basis. Then I just gave her tips on what items she needs to put in her closet. I look like her ate. Haha!
I also encouraged her to be more experimental when it comes to dressing up. She’s a plain dresser, so I told her to change it this 2013. Good thing UCB comes with their wide selection of quality items that you can mix and match to create a look that you can standout.
UCB has an exciting color scheme and cuts that make the casual apparel collection an absolute must-have. After a while, she got comfortable with me already and we started talking like close friends. It was so fun shopping with her because she’s such a sweetheart. We enjoyed our quick peek around the store.
Here I am giving her tips on how to wear denim polo. You can button it all the way up, leave it open or tie it in front. Since Jianne is a simple girl who loves to go out during the weekend (probably malling or having coffee with her friends), I chose a pair of brown jeans that she can wear all the time. The jeans fit her perfectly plus the neutral color gave her that basic but trendy look. I also fell in love with these basic suede flats that I chose for her. Black + suede is a classic!
Get your hands on these stylish shoes and complete your ensemble. I love these basic suede flats. So classy!!!
She even brought a copy of our Preview cover last September 2012 and had me sign it. So sweet. Oh, and did I tell you she also got me these super yummy macarons! I think I finished it all in one sitting.
Creating desires and making them achievable is the belief of the brand and the apparel collection. I really enjoyed shopping with Jianne inside UCB. The clothes fit her perfectly, just like how it would fit any other girl! Overall, UCB's collection brings color to the season. The fabric, texture and prints maintain essential practicality without losing your vibrant style.
UCB = fashion and quality. BMS.

BWG

(H&M hat/ top, Gold Dot cardigan, Glazey Mode bracelets, Chloe bag, SheInside leggings, Alaia booties)

For those of you who like to push the boundaries of fashion (and prefer rocking a daring look rather than pastels and subdued clothes), then I have some pieces that you are going to love. Making a statement has never been easier with the current trend of eccentric and amazing accessories, like these accessories from Glazey Mode. They have some fab pieces and it's so amazing how wonderful it looks when all piled up. The colorful spikes + cross combination definitely made a statement. Combining colors and chains was a stroke of genius– ensuring everyone knows you’re not someone to be messed with! Naks! The colors also allow the pieces to go with a lot of my looks ensuring that I can wear it again and again! It definitely balanced my black-white-gray apparel. BMS.
