Styling Tips

(Call It Spring hat, Topshop top/ shorts, vintage corset, Alexander Wang bag, Suelas x Laureen Uy flats)

So everyone's been talking about the Close Up Summer Solstice this Saturday and a lot of people have been asking for styling tips as well on what to wear to the music festival so I decided to do this post... So here goes:
1. Wear something light- by light, I mean choose fabrics that are breezy because you'll be jumping and dancing a lot. You wouldn't want to wear something uncomfortable, right?
2. Do not wear heels- well, sneaker wedges are an exception. Flats/ sneakers are probably the best options.
3. The smaller the better... when it comes to choosing a bag. Just bring the important things you need so your shoulder won't hurt the entire night.
4. Corsets are my favorite whenever I attend music festivals. Try it.
5. Don't wear accessories that will hurt you or cause inconvenience. Expect that the venue will be crowded and you'll be dancing a lot too so don't try and hurt anybody, especially yourself, with spike bracelets and all.
Speaking of Close Up Summer Solstice- please watch this video and learn more styling tips from me. I'm so excited to party this weekend! See you all there!!! BMS.

Close Up Summer Solstice

Better late than never! A few weeks ago, I attended the Close Up Summer Solstice event and went on stage with some of the other brand ambassadors to present an artist who'll be here for the music festival that everyone's been waiting for.
The theme of the event was very music festival-like. I love that they have cupcakes, ice creams, shakes and burgers in the venue. Pig out galore!!!
They had these scattered everywhere so we can further enjoy posing in front of the camera. I seriously wanted to keep all of them for myself! Everyone wanted the mustache and lips. Hahaha.
The brilliant team behind Close Up. They're all super easy to work with and always smiling. No wonder Close Up is a wonderful brand, kasi kahit yung team laging nakangiti rin.
That's just outside the actual area where the program will happen... Now, let's enter the actual venue!
 Cute signage everywhere!!!
They even gave away slippers and water bottles for everyone to get ready for summer.
Here's some of Close Up's brand ambassadors. Bloggers, DJs, celebrities and a lot more.
The three of us announced that Dev is coming to Manila! I can still remember my favorite song of hers, "Bass Down Low." I love that song- it really makes me dance every time I hear it.
I really don't have to explain my feelings and how excited I am for Close Up Summer Solstice. I love attending music festivals and I can't wait to dance and party for 12 hours! A lot of international artists are flying in, like Afrojack, Alex Gaudino, Cedric Gervais, Cobra Starship, Jump Smokers, Dev and Apster. Seriously, it's going to be an unforgettable night. To know more about the event, visit Close Up's Facebook page or check out the poster below.
See you all there! BMS.

Bring Your Own Beat

I know this is a very, very late post but it's still worth sharing. Close Up threw a party a few months ago at Prive and called it Bring Your Own Beat (BYOB). The party was so cool, all you have to do is tweet a song of your request and tag #CloseUpBYOB and it'll show on your screen and the DJ plays it for you. My first time to attend a party like this and literally everyone was dancing like crazy.
Hello Close Up team! I love them because they're always bubbly and energetic!
Introducing the Close Up brand ambassadors: Jeff Ortega, yours truly, Nicole Andersson, Carla Humphries, Ava Daza and Mike Concepcion.
So Nicole, Carla and I decided to go on stage and dance with the Philippine All Stars. Ang kapal ng mukha!!!! Hahaha. I think I left the stage after 10 seconds!
Other bloggers enjoy the party too! Here's David Guison, Verniece Enciso, Shai and Seph.
Hosted by Aaron Atayde, Close Up also premiered the newest “Get Fresh, Get Close” music video by Karl Wolf. Afterwards DJ Mars Miranda played his own mix of the song while the Philippine All-Star dancers grooved to the beats.
The very cute Enrique Gil and beautiful Coleen Garcia who are also brand ambassadors of Close Up.
I had so much fun during the party that's why I wasn't able to really get a lot of photos, but if you want to see a video of the event, watch it below:
Here's the new video of Close Up too. The song is so nice and nakaka-LSS diba! Happy viewing. BMS.
