Styling Tips

(Call It Spring hat, Topshop top/ shorts, vintage corset, Alexander Wang bag, Suelas x Laureen Uy flats)

So everyone's been talking about the Close Up Summer Solstice this Saturday and a lot of people have been asking for styling tips as well on what to wear to the music festival so I decided to do this post... So here goes:
1. Wear something light- by light, I mean choose fabrics that are breezy because you'll be jumping and dancing a lot. You wouldn't want to wear something uncomfortable, right?
2. Do not wear heels- well, sneaker wedges are an exception. Flats/ sneakers are probably the best options.
3. The smaller the better... when it comes to choosing a bag. Just bring the important things you need so your shoulder won't hurt the entire night.
4. Corsets are my favorite whenever I attend music festivals. Try it.
5. Don't wear accessories that will hurt you or cause inconvenience. Expect that the venue will be crowded and you'll be dancing a lot too so don't try and hurt anybody, especially yourself, with spike bracelets and all.
Speaking of Close Up Summer Solstice- please watch this video and learn more styling tips from me. I'm so excited to party this weekend! See you all there!!! BMS.

Flower Power

(Robinsons top, Gera Online necklace/ bracelets, Anma Lifestyle clutch, SM GTW jeans, Call It Spring heels)

I attended an event last week and the theme was floral/summer look (I'll tell you all about the event in a bit). We all know that this season is the best time to throw out our best floral, sheer and pastel-colored pieces. I love how this event gave everyone the chance to wear their coolest summer outfit. We all had our different interpretation of the summer look. I ended up with this outfit. I wore a blush pink top with floral prints and paired it up with white jeans that had amazing details on the side. They look matching right? Now, this bag from Anma Lifestyle perfected my entire ensemble. Lately, I've been addicted to mint and aqua colors- and I'm so happy I found this bag. It's so useful! I can bring this to my shoots, meetings and events, plus the fact that this can also be used as an ipad case is incredible. Work clutch in the morning and event clutch at night. You know it'll never fail you. To make the look extra feminine, I wore these ultra light and beautiful accessories from Gera Online. They're so pretty and it's perfect if you hate heavy chains and dazzles.
Last week was the launch of Pond's BB Cream- and I'm also happy to announce that I was introduced as one of the Pond's brand ambassador! I'm so happy and honoured to be part of the family.
Look at this cute photo area!
The forever beautiful/ brand ambassador Tweetie De Leon. Peg ko sila ni Apples Aberin when I grow up. Effortlessly beautiful!
I love the set up of the event. It was so fresh and a garden party is an awesome idea- not your normal indoor party.
Meet Pond's beauty council (L-R): Tweetie De Leon, Rissa Mananquil, Jigs Mayuga, Jing Monis, yours truly, Kelly Misa, Apples Aberin and Janine Tugonon.
Catriona Gray is such a good singer. She's also a Pond's ambassador and she's the face of Pond's latest tv commercial.
Introducing Pond's new products: Age Miracle BB cream and Flawless White BB cream. It's basically an all in one product- it combines the benefits of skin care and make up. Actually, if you have great skin already, you really don't need a lot of make up, so this is the perfect foundation for you. Well, it's not really a foundation but I use it as my base already. It has the ingredients to whiten your skin and at the same time has SPF 30++ to keep your skin protected at all times.  You can watch Jigs Mayuga's Pond's BB cream review HERE to know more about the product.
Thank you so much Pond's for making me part of your family. BMS.

Red

(BCBG headpiece, Frou Frou dress and clutch, Call It Spring heels)

When you're in need of a formal gown right away, you can always rely on Frou Frou's luxe pieces. I attended Republiq's 2nd anniversary a few weeks ago and it was a huge event. Good thing I had this red dress to save me. The overlapping pleats in front makes it look elegant. I've never told you this but when it comes to formal pieces, I love one-sided gowns. To make the look more exciting, I wore this headpiece and stunning clutch. I swear, this clutch is the bomb. Studs + skull = one eye catching bag. BMS.

By The Bay

(Call It Spring hat, Emporio Armani sunnies, Giftsahoy necklace/ ring, Freedom top, Miss Sartorial bag, TRF shorts, Sebago shoes)

You know what I love wearing? Sheer mullet tops that can be worn anywhere and everywhere. I went to Cagayan De Oro a few weeks ago and I was so happy that this Freedom top arrived the night before I left. The colors are so cool in the eyes and it made this look have a nice and strong impact. The pattern looks like multiple waves going in different directions. Thumbs up for this psychedelic pattern! To make my look more funky, I wore this transparent bag and made everything inside colorful (yes, the inside of my bag is really a mess). More travel shots tomorrow. BMS.

Flying Away

(SM Accessories necklaces, Shop Akira dress, +-x% connector ring/ shoe chains, Call It Spring heels)

I just got this dress a few weeks ago from Shop Akira (this super duper cool online shop that sells almost everything I'm lusting for). I knew it was going to be exactly how I imagined it, so I waited for the perfect event to wear it- then came the Plains and Prints event at Prive for the launch of their new endorser, my sister Liz Uy. It's a short bodycon dress with flowy sheer fabrics attached on the side. To make it a bit more edgy, I got these shoe chains and wore it together with these plain pumps. Such nice, extra details for my shoes, right? BMS.

Terno

(Goody spin pins, Extreme Finds necklace/ bracelets, Monkee Business inner top, Plains and Prints top/ shorts, TLTSN rings, See by Chloe bag, Call It Spring wedges)

I'm really getting into wearing the same top and bottom prints and I found my happiness when I entered the Plains and Prints store. They have the nicest pieces with terno prints. BMS.
