Laid Back in Iloilo

(Jimmy Choo sunnies, Plains and Prints chambre, H&M top, Long Champ shorts, Amadora necklace/ bracelets, Bubbles shorts, Fila socks, Crocs shoes)

I'm always in Iloilo- and I never really get bored when I'm there. In fact, I love being there- that's why I brought my friends this time! Hahaha. I love wearing laid back clothes. When I go there, I'd like to keep my look as comfy as I can because I know I'll be on vacation mode. I wore this pair of comfy and affordable Bubbles shorts just so I can move around freely and to make everything look more trendy, I wore these necklace and bracelets from Amadora accessories. Aren't they so nice?! I love the combination of the claw + studs in one arm.  Metals and silver are always a good pair with denim. Even if the necklace is a bit striking, it doesn't overpower the total look. It was a very bright day so thank goodness I brought these new foldable sunnies. Even if the classic frames are contrasting my laid back ensemble- ironically, it added flare. Oh, and did you notice my cute polka socks? I just saw the new collection of Fila and I love all their colorful and printed socks! Yey!
Anyway, here are some photos taken via my phone from my Iloilo trip.
Thank you Dominique and Camille from Iloilo for giving us these cute neons bracelets!
Foldable Jimmy Choo sunnies and my forever reliable Sony RX100.
Seriously, I think I need to be a brand ambassador for Iloilo. Hahaha! I love this city. BMS.

Pink and Purple

(Goody hair tie, Girls Are Weird necklace, Choies top, Casio watch, Giftsahoy ring, Mumi bag, Plains and Prints shorts, Alaia booties)

Yes, this was taken a few weeks ago when I went to Hong Kong.. again. I just can't get enough of HK- I love it so much! I was there for a meeting with one of my favorite shoe brands Sugarfree. I'll tell you all about it next time but all I want to say now is- BE EXCITED! Anyway, I wore this very colorful outfit to the meeting. Even if it's full of colors, it still looked corporate because of the buttoned up polo. It's also scorching hot in HK so wearing a sheer top with shorts were the perfect combination. Okay, so did I tell you that I'm now into collecting small bags? When I saw this Mumi bag online, I had to get it right away before I flew for HK. I knew it was going to be spacious inside even if it's so tiny. The design looks so trendy and chic too- plus I don't have to worry about my shoulders hurting the whole day. The texture and color of the bag really matched my entire look- as if they're all made for each other. Really, small bags are so convenient. Why didn't I think of it before?!
PS. Always try and wear a watch during meetings so you don't have to get your phone and check the time- you might look like your texting or not paying attention to your client. BMS.

Stairs

(Extreme Finds necklaces, Plains and Prints jumpsuit, Bubbles bracelet, Superb Finds rings, Primadonna wedges)

I think this is the first sporty jumpsuit that got me to stop a few feet away from the store and just stare at it for a long time- of course, until I went back to reality and told myself I had to get it. Decided to mix it up by wearing matching colors too. I'm becoming extremely happier because neon items are now easier to find. Four months back I'm sure I wouldn't be able find these pair of neon wedges anywhere. Neon pieces always save a boring look. BMS.

Embroidery

(Goody spin pins, Elle Be Are blazer, Primadonna studded bracelets, Superb Finds colored bangle, Balenciaga bag, Stylebreak shorts, Parisian wedges)

A short and sweet sentence: This Elle Be Are blazer just stole the show. Really, it did. I attended a very important event and everyone asked me where I got this blazer from. It's actually a customized blazer that I ordered from Qatar. People think it's hard ordering items out of the country but it's actually the same thing when you order from Manila, except you have to wait for a few more days. You can never go wrong with customized pieces- especially if the embroidery and tassels are as stunning as this. Honestly, it's worth the wait. And did you notice how I just wore a plain tank and shorts? I didn't have to make the extra effort because this blazer (yes, I will say it again) stole the show.

Of course I went to support my sister Liz Uy's launch as the newest endorser for Plains and Prints. I remember when I was still in college, I'd raid my sister's closet to find classy/corporate clothes for my course and find a lot of Plains and Prints pieces. We all know she's a glamorous and classy girl, but off the camera, she really works A LOT. She has styling shoots everyday so their items suit her best because it's classy, chic and comfortable. Congratulations Liz! I swear, she's really the perfect face for the brand. (dash, sister. hahaha) BMS.

Terno

(Goody spin pins, Extreme Finds necklace/ bracelets, Monkee Business inner top, Plains and Prints top/ shorts, TLTSN rings, See by Chloe bag, Call It Spring wedges)

I'm really getting into wearing the same top and bottom prints and I found my happiness when I entered the Plains and Prints store. They have the nicest pieces with terno prints. BMS.

Flowery

(Goody hair tie, Dolce and Gabbana sunnies, TLTSN necklace/ bangle, Iconemesis iphone casing, Plains and Prints top/ shorts, Flipelas slippers)

This was a very and chill day for me. I felt extra lazy and the only thing I had to do was to get a mani/pedi because I have a shoot the next day. Okay, so remember how I told you I really don't wear slippers? well, all this changed when I started taping for My Binondo Girl. Don't get me wrong, I still love heels over flats, but if you know you're going to be at least changing outfits more than 12 times and if you're going to be at a tent waiting the entire day for your scene, then you HAVE to wear slippers. Good thing I found out about Flipelas, an online store that customizes your flip flops. From colors, style, bead work, etc, just tell them what you want and they'll do it for you. My creation of this lavender-mint combination is just pure pastel love for me. Right now, I have about four pairs and I can't wait to wear it to taping. And can I just add- I love my new iphone casing from Iconemesis. This isn't just your ordinary type of casing- they actually collaborated with UK's finest artists to give you the best casings. You can even create and design your own casing. I'm so in love with my cat casing, which is ironic because I really dislike cats. Random. BMS.

Recreation Relaxation

Like all the other girls out there, we all work hard everyday and when that day of the month comes (which is pay day)- all we want to do is relax and give ourselves some treat and pampering. Just so you know, I don't do this a lot- so I kind of went all out. Haha.
First stop, I went to The Bag Museum at Wilson st. (right on top of Ristras) and decided to check out their bags. A contact informed me that they sell designer goods at a cheaper price. When I arrived, I instantly fell in love with this Furla bag. I wore it the whole time whilst searching for other goods. Moments later I found out that their bags are actually priced 20-30% off the retail price.
My top three choices from L-R: Furla bag, Tory Burch red bag and Kate Spade bag
They don't only sell handbags, in fact they have wallets, sunnies and accessories available too! And I just love the brands that they're handling- Tommy Hilfiger, Gucci, Kate Spade, Furla, Michael Kors, Tory Burch and many many more. You can also try ordering from The Bag Museum online if you don't have time to visit the store. You'll definitely be see me wearing my new bag soon.
Lunch time! Since Ristras was just below, we decided to check it out. I got the spicy beef burrito- yum. For an easier transaction, I used my Visa debit card. It looks like a credit card but it's actually an alternative to cash or checks. If you hate losing money, then this is perfect for you. A debit card is linked directly to you bank account (or how much you deposit to the card) so your money will just be in one card.
Just a few benefits when you use a debit card: it allows you to make the same kinds of purchases as with credit cards without needing to carry cash, it provides the same type of “zero liability” protection as credit cards, there is no APR or interest rate charged. You can use it when purchasing anything too!
After eating, I went straight to the mall. I visited my two of my favorite shops Mango and Topshop and couldn't resist their latest collection. Good thing I have my Visa debit card all the time- and because a debit card links directly to your bank account, you can spend only what you have in your account. This helps keep you out of debt. It's really my money in one card- so convenient. I love it!
Now- "hindi magpapakabog ang local stores." Seriously, I really love local stores, not only are they available but the designs are also breathtaking. Looks like I won't be shopping for awhile after this. BMS.
