Uncoordinated Prints

(H&M hat, Personalized Accessories necklace, Le Vie Collections top, SM GTW skort, Fashion Galore bracelets, Feet for a Queen wedges)

As the heat started to settle in Cebu I found myself playing with prints, colors and studs for this look. I got this Aztec top from Le Vie Collections that was I thought was perfect for the event. To be honest, I keep wearing Aztec pieces on several posts because it's eye catching and you won't have a hard time making it look amazing because without any effort, it's striking already. There's just something with this top that I love- the fabric is so light and the colors give a playful vibe. I paired it with this black studded shorts for an additional edgy look. To complete the entire ensemble, I wore this printed hat and colorful bangles/ necklace. Whenever I wear bold colors and prints, it allows me to look and feel vibrant- in the best way possible! Besides, colorful pieces and prints are fun and happy- and who doesn’t want to exude these qualities? BMS.

Wear White

A few weeks ago, I had a shoot at the Blanc Gallery for Philippines Star. It was a quick shoot and it was my first feature this 2013 too! Here are some behind the scenes photos from the shoot.
I love it when Roy Macam takes my photos. He's such a natural!
I'm also addicted to this Lemon Shop headband. It's such a great way to accentuate your entire ensemble. The pearls make the entire look softer and more relaxed. Now, here's the final photo that they used:
(Lemon Shop headband, Virgos Lounge top, H&M skirt, Gareth Pugh shoes)
The theme of the shoot was "How to Wear White This Year" and this was my interpretation. I wanted to wear pieces that make a statement even without any effort- so I wore these:
     1. Lemon Shop headband- something that will definitely make any look cuter.
     2. Virgos Lounge top- sequined dots never fail! I like it loose too, making me look thinner and taller.
     3. Uneven skirt from H&M- striking.
     4. Gareth Pugh wedges- I don't even have to describe how this can make a statement
I'm also happy to be featured with lovely ladies Kai Lim, Lucille Dizon and Janthina Fong! If you want to read the entire article, just click HERE. Thank you so much Bea Ledesma for including in your article. BMS.

Brown

(Ray-ban sunnies, Goody hair tie, H&M fur, Ministry of Retail jacket, One Stop Shop bag, Arm Candy ring, H&M pants, Primadonna shoes)

Despite the usually chilly connotations that are associated with winter, these months are said to be the best time to visit Hong Kong. With pleasant sunshine, a cool breeze and a comfortable temperature- the conditions are optimal for exploring the city’s many attractions. While walking around Central, I couldn't stop myself from stopping and staring at this lovely (and enormous) door. Anyway, layering my clothes is a tried-and-true way to ensure my comfort in the outdoors. The beauty of this ensemble is that it allowed me to make quick adjustments based on my activity level and changes in the weather. I love how the neutral colors worked and how prints looked altogether. I met up with the people of Sugarfree this day so I decided to bring this Satchel Bag from One Stop Shop. Good move bring a big bag too, because all my stuff- laptop, camera, drawing designs, etc all fit inside! Not only does it look classy and wonderful, but it's very handy/ useful too. I’m not usually into bringing big bags when I travel but this satchel bag is an exemption. The small pocket outside it a big help too! Lipstick, octopus card, my cell phone, earplugs- the stuff I needed to bring out in an instant fit in that tiny thing. BMS.

Hong Kong Day 2

(H&M hat, Gurly Glam Shoppe scarf, SheInside jacket, Celine bag, Arm Candy bracelets/ cross ring, Jag jeans, Primadonna boots)

Everyone seems to be obsessing over something: hair, makeup, dress, or even shoes. Some people tend to forget one of the most important things when dressing up: accessories. I can never leave the house without wearing accessories- whether it be bracelets, a ring, etc. Accessories can have a large impact on your everyday outfit and can push it over the top and wow everybody. The key to accessorizing is to accent your outfit and to keep things fresh and trendy. Bringing these Arm Candy accessories to Hong Kong was one of the smartest moves I've done. They're designed to lighten things up a bit and give you a playful look. For me, Skulls + Studs + Neons = happines. And these arm candies are light too so I didn't have to worry about bringing them with me. Since my outfit revolved around dark colors (and to keep me warm in HK too), I decided to lighten the entire look by wearing colorful accessories. BMS.

Printed Pop

(Goody hair tie, Super sunnies, Girls are Weird necklace, H&M top, Alexander Wang bag, Jewels and Charms leggings/ rings, Alaia heels)

Even though the weather is gloomy, even though it rains all the time, even though umbrellas are the most common accessories at the moment- there’s no need for you to feel drab and grey! Printed items are bright, bold and can truly bring the summer vibe back. A pop of color will brighten up everyone’s day- so I wore these really pop-ish leggings from Jewels and Charms. I felt like rocking the print trend but want it a bit more casual, so I wore my favorite (and overused) loose top. The tight fit of the leggings made sure my figure looked great and the bold print will allowed me to stand out. The beauty of this pair of leggings is because of the amazing variety of colors and print. BMS.
So I was able to meet my UCB x BMS winner Jianne Samin and I got to shop and bond with her too! She also brought her sister and a few family members with her. They were all so nice!
I started by asking her what her style is and what she normally wears on a daily basis. Then I just gave her tips on what items she needs to put in her closet. I look like her ate. Haha!
I also encouraged her to be more experimental when it comes to dressing up. She’s a plain dresser, so I told her to change it this 2013. Good thing UCB comes with their wide selection of quality items that you can mix and match to create a look that you can standout.
UCB has an exciting color scheme and cuts that make the casual apparel collection an absolute must-have. After a while, she got comfortable with me already and we started talking like close friends. It was so fun shopping with her because she’s such a sweetheart. We enjoyed our quick peek around the store.
Here I am giving her tips on how to wear denim polo. You can button it all the way up, leave it open or tie it in front. Since Jianne is a simple girl who loves to go out during the weekend (probably malling or having coffee with her friends), I chose a pair of brown jeans that she can wear all the time. The jeans fit her perfectly plus the neutral color gave her that basic but trendy look. I also fell in love with these basic suede flats that I chose for her. Black + suede is a classic!
Get your hands on these stylish shoes and complete your ensemble. I love these basic suede flats. So classy!!!
She even brought a copy of our Preview cover last September 2012 and had me sign it. So sweet. Oh, and did I tell you she also got me these super yummy macarons! I think I finished it all in one sitting.
Creating desires and making them achievable is the belief of the brand and the apparel collection. I really enjoyed shopping with Jianne inside UCB. The clothes fit her perfectly, just like how it would fit any other girl! Overall, UCB's collection brings color to the season. The fabric, texture and prints maintain essential practicality without losing your vibrant style.
UCB = fashion and quality. BMS.
