Styling Tips

(Call It Spring hat, Topshop top/ shorts, vintage corset, Alexander Wang bag, Suelas x Laureen Uy flats)

So everyone's been talking about the Close Up Summer Solstice this Saturday and a lot of people have been asking for styling tips as well on what to wear to the music festival so I decided to do this post... So here goes:
1. Wear something light- by light, I mean choose fabrics that are breezy because you'll be jumping and dancing a lot. You wouldn't want to wear something uncomfortable, right?
2. Do not wear heels- well, sneaker wedges are an exception. Flats/ sneakers are probably the best options.
3. The smaller the better... when it comes to choosing a bag. Just bring the important things you need so your shoulder won't hurt the entire night.
4. Corsets are my favorite whenever I attend music festivals. Try it.
5. Don't wear accessories that will hurt you or cause inconvenience. Expect that the venue will be crowded and you'll be dancing a lot too so don't try and hurt anybody, especially yourself, with spike bracelets and all.
Speaking of Close Up Summer Solstice- please watch this video and learn more styling tips from me. I'm so excited to party this weekend! See you all there!!! BMS.

Style Statement

(Goody hair tie, H&M scarf, The Ramp Crossings top/ leggings, Jhajing bracelets, Celine bag, Suelas x Laureen Uy flats)

I was so excited on my first day in China with my family (our last family trip was months ago), and I got the same excitement when my eyes saw this top and velvet leggings from The Ramp, Crossings that I just had to bring it with me. Their pieces are such style statements! I layered this top with a plain black top underneath to help emphasize the prints. The fabric is so comfy and the print is so unique. I decided to wear velvet leggings instead of my normal cotton ones- it gave me shape and as expected, it made me feel so comfortable all day long- plus I felt warmer. The entire look is perfect for the cold and breezy weather of China. You know, seeing a lot of nice clothes in the same store is a hassle free for everyone. If you check out The Ramp's collection inside Crossings, they have everything you need whether it's for casual, corporate or evening wear. BMS.

Spontaneous

 Bear Land
(Super sunnies, Monkee Business top, Celine bag, Primadonna shorts, Suelas x Laureen Uy flats)
 Seashels Creation bracelets, Casio watch
Plazuela de Iloilo. Such a nice place, right?
The best chicken inasal I've ever tried in Iloilo- Barrio Inasal. I love everything there, and the fact that it's so affordable makes me want to eat everything!!
Twister fries in Crave Burger tastes like Mcdonalds twister fries! Yum.
My business partner/ best friend/ tour guide Katrina Loring.
They say spontaneous trips are always the best. It did happen to me a few weeks ago when I decided to go to Iloilo to visit Katrina. Sometimes, you just have to make unplanned decisions and get out of your comfort zone to experience unforgettable memories. BMS.

Suelas x Laureen Uy

I've been working on this collaboration with Suelas for the longest time. It took me months to prepare for these pairs. I was very hands on from picking the swatches, choosing which texture suits best to designing the flats- just so I can give you guys the best creations.
Suelas is not just an ordinary pair of flats- it's known for its comfy, flexible kind. It's designed to be flattened, folded and rolled.. Actually perfect for travelling (it's also an emergency pair of flats you can bring anywhere).

My designs revolved by the edgy functionality of a timeless counterculture icon- the metal stud. I designed three pairs of flats for every kind of style a girl has: feminine, edgy and flirty.
 Feminine. P1,199.00.
I worked with the colors pink, cream and orange to give you that girly vibe. Perfect with floral pieces and pastels.
 Edgy. P1,299.00.
To stand out from the crowd, you'll be needing this one. The blue accent gives it an extra oomph.
Flirty. P1,499.00.
How can you not notice these wonderful pair of flats? The oversized ribbon truly is an eye-catcher.

They only produced a limited number of pairs so BUY NOW! It will be available tomorrow at Crossings Trinoma and Crossings Shangri-la Mall (both under Stylebreak) or visit their online website HERE. BMS.

On The Rocks

My Binondo Girl flew to Hong Kong last August 2-5 to shoot (bongga). So we were trying to look for location shots and this was our first stop. Love the scenery.
(H&M top, Topshop tank, vintage shorts)
(Mia Casa double cross ring, Taiwan brand ram ring)
Love the pockets on this cardigan. Wasn't able to take a shot of the back but it was sheer teal.
And of course, I wore my ever-so-reliable Suelas flats. It's really for travelling and it's all about being comfy. Designed shoes for them too! I think it's coming out this September- watch out for it.
More photos soon. BMS.
